A list of the Premier League’s fastest players has been revealed and Newcastle United’s Moussa Sissoko features on it.
Sky Sports have compiled the list from data supplied by TRACAB, which is a supplier to the Premier League.
They use advanced image-processing technology to determine the position of all moving objects in the field of play at a rate of 25 times per second.
The state of the art technology makes it possible to establish accurate data showing what top speeds players reach during Premier League matches.
In the list of the 20 fastest instances during Premier League matches so far, Moussa Sissoko features at number 11 in the list.
The Newcastle midfielder recorded a speed of 34.68km per hour during the game at St James Park against Arsenal.
Interesting to see that the top five includes four instances by Leicester players, a testament to their hard work and non-stop running which has helped lift them to second place in the table after five games.
