Rolando Aarons has been made available to go out on loan.

Newcastle United media partner, The Mirror, say that Steve McClaren remains to be convinced by the winger and is happy to send him out on a short-term deal.

United are able to loan players for up to three months to football league clubs in the current ’emergency loan window’.

Rolando Aarons was a surprise absentee against Sheffield Wednesday due to a last minute injury, whilst on Saturday he came on as sub at left-back against Watford.

One of the few positives last season in his limited appearances and impressing again in pre-season, it remains a mystery to many fans as to why Rolando Aarons is still yet to start a Premier League match.

McClaren has used Aarons a number of times at left-back and in the summer the player said he wasn’t keen on playing there after being pressed into service at full-back on the tour of America.

With Newcastle looking desperate in terms of creativity, it would be a big call for Steve McClaren to allow Aarons to leave on even a short-term basis.

Especially with Thauvin and Gabriel Obertan being absolutely dreadful against Sheffield Wednesday’s reserve team on Wednesday night.
