Aleksandar Mitrovic has had a tough time recently.

The Newcastle striker starting his time on Tyneside with more talk about his cards than his goals.

Suspended for Newcastle United’s next three matches, Mitrovic is away on international duty for hopefully a turn of fortune.

After a goal free (for the Newcastle striker) match against Armenia which resulted in a 2-0 win for Serbia, Mitrovic led the line once again in Paris tonight – Sissoko, Debuchy and Cabaye on the bench.

France quickly went 2-0 up with a brace from Matuidi, then Mitrovic had his moment with six minutes to go before half-time – the first of many goals this season?
