Newcastle United went down 2-1 at home to Watford and Alan Shearer made clear what he thought of the latest defeat.

The NUFC legend declared that the performance was ‘awful AGAIN’ as Newcastle remained in the bottom three.

The only relief being that Sunderland got beat 2-0 at Bournemouth to lift Newcastle into 2nd bottom, whilst third bottom Stoke threw away a two goal lead over Leicester and ended 2-2.

Alan Shearer also reiterated pnce again that Newcastle should have gone for Charlie Austin.

The QPR striker scored his sixth goal of the season today to earn Rangers a point against Hull, meaning he has scored twice as many league goals as the entire Newcastle squad.

Papiss Cisse was abysmal..AGAIN!

The Senegalese striker wasting some excellent chances before being dragged off at half-time and replaced by Siem de Jong.

Aleksandar Mitrovic will be available for selection next Saturday (after Sheff Wed in League Cup) and it would be a brave man who would suggest he won’t walk straight back into the team.

Let’s hope this time he satys there…

Alan Shearer used his Twitter account to say:

“NUFC awful AGAIN. Charlie Austin looks cheap at £15 million now!”
