Newcastle United 0 Borussia Monchengladbach 1

The visitors were the better team but needed help from an obliging Newcastle United to win the game.

Either side of the goal Newcastle hit the woodwork via Sissoko and Mitrovic but the Newcastle defence can claim an assist for the winner.

A Monchengladbach attack had broken down with a theatrical fall to the ground in the box hoping for a penalty, only for Steven Taylor to be the chief culprit as the United defence failed to clear their lines.

Instead the ball ends up played out to the edge of the box where substitute Thorgan Hazard finished past Krul, the Dutch keeper maybe though should do better as well.

Watch the build up play to it and the actual goal below.
