Fans choice of Newcastle team v Manchester United

Thanks to everybody who helped us come up with our fans choice of the Newcastle team v Manchester United.

Using our interactive feature,  NUFC team selector, we asked you to choose your preferred formation and starting eleven.

The most popular was a 4-2-3-1 formation and the team selection by supporters can be seen below.

Some talking points…

Mitrovic was chosen by almost every single person, Cisse very few votes and only then as a partner for the Serbian striker.

Vurnon Anita only just edged Siem de Jong out of the team.

Fans reluctant to move Chancel Mbemba from centre-back but knowing he has to play right-back in Janmaat’s absence.

Aarons and Thauvin VERY popular to start either side of Wijnaldum as an attacking trip supporting Mitrovic.

No great appetite for Steven Taylor (votes for Lascelles, Satka, Dummett etc at centre-back, Williamson less so..) but an acceptance that he is who we are left with.

You can still do the same by following the simple instructions HERE and then there are a number of great options where you can then also share your team via Twitter (include @nufcthemag in your tweet and we will share some of them with our 16k+ followers) , or you can share the selector on Facebook with friends, family and the rest of the black and white world.

To use our NUFC team selector, simply follow the simple instructions HERE.

When using the NUFC team selector you simply click on what team formation (4-3-3, 4-4-2 etc) you want, then click each position on the pitch and choose from the Newcastle United squad.

Go to the NUFC team selector now and choose and share your own team selection v Manchester United.

Before every match, simply go to the menu at the top of this screen and click features, then on the drop down list click NUFC Team Selector and choose your team for every match.
