Sheffield United v Newcastle United Update – Including ticket info

Sheffield United is next up on Sunday for Newcastle United, with supporters hoping that Aleksandar Mitrovic might make his first appearance as a Newcastle player, plus Georginio Wijnaldum playing his first game for United this side of the Atlantic

The match is a testimonial for Chris Morgan and will see money raised for three charities, including the Gary Speed Trust.

Ticket sales have now ended at St James Park for the friendly fixture, with Mike Ashley still refusing to allow fans to buy away tickets (even for a friendly – Gateshead being the only exception) unless they first pay £35 for an NUFC club membership (or have a season ticket where the membership fee is automatically taken as part of the price).

However, a phone call to the Sheffield United ticket office (0871 995 1889) brought news that Newcastle fans will be able to pay on the day for the away section. NUFC supporters will be housed in the Bramall Lane (sponsored by Redbrik Estate Agents) Stand.

The ticket office stated that only a limited number of seats will be available for Newcastle supporters and will be on sale from 11.30am on Sunday, ahead of the 1pm kick-off – tickets priced £15 (£5 concessions).
