Real Sociedad have announced that David Moyes has persuaded exciting teenager David Concha to join him, the 18 year old winger (can play on either wing) signing a five year deal with the La Liga club.

Concha signed the contract on Friday night in Las Rozas where he was based with the Spanish Under 19 squad, before flying off to Greece today for the Under 19 European Championship finals which begin on Monday.

Spain and David Concha beginning their group matches when they face Germany on Wednesday.

The now former Racing Santander teenager visited St. James’ Park earlier this year for talks and to check out the club, in advance of what looked a likely transfer

Racing Santander are really struggling financially, like most of Spanish football, and have now fallen into the third tier after relegation by one point, despite David Concha proving their star player in his 35 appearances (scoring five goals) – despite starting last season as a 17 year old.

Relegation confirmed that the club had to sell their prize asset to bring in much needed finance.
