Adam Armstrong led his country to victory as England defeated Russia in Moscow on Monday, the England Under 18s featuring an impressive three players from Newcastle United.

As well as Armstrong wearing the Captain’s armband, keeper Freddie Woodman was between the sticks as usual, whilst midfielder Dan Barlaser made his international debut for England.

Adam Armstrong gave the young lions the lead, calmly putting a penalty away after 63 minutes, following a foul on Patrick Roberts in the box.
