Racing Santander teenager David Concha has visited Newcastle in advance of a potential transfer to St. James’ Park.

The eighteen year old can play on either wing and was one of a number of Spanish youngsters linked with NUFC in January, though nothing happened in that window, apart from shipping players out…

According to the Chronicle, David Concha made the trip recently to Tyneside as he weighs up his options, with other Spanish clubs also credited with a interest, including Valencia.

Racing Santander are really struggling financially, like most of Spanish football, and could even fall into the third tier as they are one place above the drop only on goal difference, with just two matches to play.

Even if they stay up, their better players such as Concha are expected to be sold to bring in much needed finance.

Making his debut at the age of seventeen, the winger has at least got plenty of experience under his belt this season, with 34 league appearances and 5 goals.

Ayoze Perez has been a rare success story amongst the younger players recruited from overseas, though at only 18 years old you would expect any potential signing to be definitely one for the future.

Unlike Ayoze Perez who thankfully turned up trumps, thrown into the first match of the season against Manchester City as a sub, going on to feature in 36 of the 38 Premier League matches.

His goals undoubtedly playing a major part in Newcastle surviving for at least one more season.
