The club have released details of when 4 Newcastle players will be available for selection.

After 7 straight defeats, John Carver was keen to show that returning players could help turn things around in these remaining 4 matches.

The Newcastle Head Coach speaking to the official club website after Swansea became the latest to leave St. James’ Park with 3 points:

“When we conceded after half-time we started to feel sorry for ourselves and conceded a third.

“Ayoze has a great chance at 3-1 and then Siem de Jong comes on and scores a great goal, the shining light for me.”

Back at the most important time…:

“It will boost everybody’s confidence seeing Siem come back and we know Moussa Sissoko will be back next week and Paul Dummett will be back next week.

“They’re back at the most important time and that is with four games to go.”

De Jong:

“The one thing I will say is that you can see why we bought him (de Jong), you can see the quality he has and the fans will be excited by watching him when he’s fully fit.

“He needs to get 90 minutes under his belt playing in the Under 21s and he will play on Tuesday. So he won’t start next weekend (Leicester) but he will be involved again and might get longer than 20 minutes.”

Rolando Aarons:

“Paul (Dummett) has had a couple of good weeks training and so hopefully he should be ok for next weekend as well.

“Rolando Aarons needs to get a game under his belt but he is not ready for Tuesday (Under 21s match), so you might get him the last couple of games of the season.”

So in summary, Moussa Sissoko should definitely start, Siem de Jong won’t start the match against Leicester but will definitely come on as a sub, Paul Dummett will be available but surely that can only also be for a place on the bench, whilst Rolando Aarons will allegedly be ok for the last two games.

Against a resurgent Leicester who have now won four in a row, will Moussa Sissoko be enough to turn the tide?
