We asked the question – who should be the Newcastle Captain next season?

The club is in a total mess from top to bottom and nobody takes responsibility, from Mike Ashley at the summit, down through minion Lee Charnley, John Carver….

So it time to make a change from Fabricio Coloccini?

We gave you six choices from the current squad and asked, should Coloccini keep the job or would you give it to one of these five alternatives for next season?

The results:

42% Jack Colback

23% Daryl Janmaat

15% Siem de Jong

12% Moussa Sissoko

6% Tim Krul

2% Fabricio Coloccini

Moussa Sissoko has been named captain in Fabricio Coloccini’s absence for the next few matches, but he doesn’t appear to have convinced many of you.

If Siem de Jong could stay fit then no doubt he would be a more popular choice.

However, Jack Colback ticks all the boxes as the most popular choice, with Daryl Janmaat comfortably in second.

For Coloccini, not such good news.

So many unanswered questions for next season and just who will be Newcastle Captain is just one of them. Undoubtedly though we need added leadership throughout the club and nowhere more so than on the pitch.
