The latest player Newcastle United are being linked with for a summer move, is Morgan Fox.

The 21 year old left-back has been getting rave reviews for his Championship performances in recent months.

The Charlton defender has made 25 league appearances this season and is yet another young player produced from the Charlton production line.

Newcastle are now regularly being linked with British players appearing in the Championship and the signings of Karl Darlow and Jamaal Lascelles last summer, may indicate that this a direction United are going to head in as they look at value for money signings closer to home.

Only yesterday, two other Charlton youngsters, Joe Gomez and Jordan Cousins, were claimed to have been regularly watched by Newcastle.

Now today we can add Morgan Fox to that list, with former Sky Sports journalist Graeme Bailey, who now works for, reporting that along with Villa and West Ham, Newcastle have been scouting the Welsh Under 21 international.

The departure of Davide Santon means that United need at least one left-back in the summer, though that is simply just one on a growing list of players Newcastle need to get anywhere near the squad strength needed.

Otherwise we will simply see more chaos, as whoever is manager/head coach attempts to get through yet another season with a squad that is short on numbers.
