Newcastle fans could be in line to see one new face before the end of the season.

With the Championship season ending on the first weekend in May and the Premier League running for a further three weeks after that, Newcastle could have loan player Jamaal Lascelles available for the final three matches.

The Nottingham Forest (on loan) defender would be able to face QPR away and the home matches against West Brom and West Ham, apart from in the unlikely event that Forest have a late charge and make the play-offs.

Cutting a nine point deficit over only ten remaining matches makes that a little unlikely.

Lascelles is registered in United’s Premier League squad for this season, unlike Karl Darlow, which makes the defender a possibility.

It wouldn’t do the pair any harm to meet and train with their new teammates before the summer and any pitch time would be a bonus for Jamaal Lascelles.
