John Carver has today admitted that Newcastle may have to look at bringing in at least one free agent if there are any other injuries.

Despite both player and Head Coach initially suggesting he should be alright  for the Manchester United match, it now looks as though Massadio Haidara will miss the game.

The Shields Gazette reported John Carver said that the French left-back has fluid on the knee and will likely miss tomorrow’s game – how long he could be out for is unknown.

Loaning out Remie Streete and Davide Santon in January, as well as selling Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, whilst bringing nobody in.

The team boss admits that Newcastle United could shortly be in the embarrassing position of having to consider bringing in an out of contract player to fill in, if one or more other injuries strike.
