Former Newcastle striker Michael Chopra is back in England and looking for a new club.

With the relative glamour of turning out for the Kerala Blasters in the Indian Premier League now at an end with the season coming to an end, Chopra is trying his luck on loan at Port Vale.

The scorer of 114 goals in the English Leagues including of course that game changer at the Stadium of Light, scoring only seconds after coming on in Alan Shearer’s (pictured) last ever match, helping to turn around the scoreline from one down to Sunderland 1 Newcastle 4.

Maybe hard to believe now but Michael Chopra moved to Sunderland for £5m and later moved back to Cardiff for £4m, his off the pitch problems clearly having a major impact on his career.
