Andreas Beck latest player linked with Newcastle transfer
Latest player to be linked with a summer transfer to Newcastle United is Andreas Beck.
The German international full-back is expected to leave Hoffenheim this summer and the Mirror claim that Newcastle have expressed an interest in signing him.
The 28 year old won the Bundlesliga as a teenager with Stuttgart before moving on and spending the intervening years at Hoffenheim.
After seven years at the club it is reported that Beck is looking for a new challenge and could be available for as little as £1.5m.
Napoli are also said to be interested in the right sided defender who was actually born in Russia before moving to Germany as a three year old.
His European club debut was actually against Middlesbrough in an early UEFA Cup round back in 2006.
Beck played alongside Demba Ba when the pair were together at Hoffenheim, before the striker moved on to West Ham.
Talk of interest in Andreas Beck comes at a time when there have been claims in recent days, that Newcastle are allegedly now targeting the Spanish and German markets for value for money signings.
