Adam Armstrong and Callum Roberts are expected to be on show tonight as Newcastle reserves take on Stoke City.

The match is at St. James’ Park with a 7pm kick-off and admission if free for season ticket holders/members, £3 otherwise (£1 concessions)

Also in the squad are Lubo Satka, Jamie Sterry and Freddie Woodman who have all been part of United’s first team squad recently, though only Satka has made his debut for the first team, when Newcastle played at Leicester in the FA Cup.

Callum Roberts has returned for reserve duty at St. James’ Park after Newcastle decided it would make more sense than him playing for Gateshead reserves, as he struggled to get first team action when on loan over the river at the International Stadium.

United are currently fourth top in the second tier of the reserve league, four points off Middlesbrough at the top  – though the second string have been struggling even more than the senior team of late, with no wins in their last seven competitive matches.
