Who do you think will be in the Newcastle team v Crystal Palace team tonight?

Apart from excitement, the Stoke match was lacking something else from Newcastle and I think John Carver must surely make some changes to liven things up tonight.

I can’t imagine him deviating too much from the cautious approach that characterised life under Alan Pardew and which Carver has largely continued.

However, I can see him adding Gabriel Obertan to the line-up alongside Remy Cabella, rather than the controversial substitution he made in the Stoke match.

Sammy Ameobi was back to his usual bad ways of going (literally!) to sleep for much of Sunday’s game and I can see him ending up on the bench.

He’s not my favourite player but Gouffran always seems to bounce back into the team very quickly after being left out, so I can see him very likely in the team, rather than Mehdi Abeid ‘s introduction which the vast majority of fans would seem to prefer.

So I predict the line-up below, though I have to say this is what I think John Carver’s will be and not mine!

To create the image above I used our new feature, the NUFC team selector.

You can do the same by following the simple instructions HERE and then there are a number of great options where you can then also share your team via Twitter (include @nufcthemag in your tweet and we will share some of them with our 13k+ followers) , or you can share the selector on Facebook with friends, family and the rest of the black and white world.

When using the NUFC team selector you simply click on what team formation (4-3-3, 4-4-2 etc) you want, then click each position on the pitch and choose from the Newcastle United squad.

It is really that simple even I can do it! Or you have the option of simply downloading the team image to the device you are using.

Go to the NUFC team selector now and choose and share your team selection v Crystal Palace.

Before every match, simply go to the menu at the top of this screen and click features, then on the drop down list click NUFC Team Selector and choose your team for every match.
