Newcastle United have been watching Yarouba Cissako according to reports in France.

French media organisation RMC say that United have regularly watched the 20 year old right-back this season.

The defender is on loan at Belgian club Zulte Waregem and has made 23 appearances this season, having previously only played reserve team football at Monaco so far

As well as Newcastle, other Premier League clubs are also reported to have been represented at matches to watch the full-back.

The defender has played at various youth levels for France and will only have one year left on his contract this summer, but Monaco have already stated that they want to extend it and keep the player.

However, the French club do expect a struggle to hold on to Cissako with bids expected in the summer transfer window.
