News in of yet another Newcastle player going under the knife, with United’s Curtis Good the victim this time.

Turning 22 next month, central defender Curtis Good has travelled to America to get surgery on his troublesome hip problem.

The original injury came about when the Newcastle player made his full international debut against Ecuador eleven months ago.

Good was rated as having an excellent chance of making the World Cup squad for Brazil and thought to be one of Australia’s best prospects.

John Carver confirming today:

“Curtis had an operation on his hip in Colorado.”

Bets of luck to the player who looked to have a big chance of making it at Newcastle in the senior team.

Hopefully this operation will get to the bottom of the problem and Curtis Good can get his career back on track at St. James’ Park.
