New Arsenal signing Krystian Bielik will make his debut for the Gunners at St. James’ Park on Monday.

Always looking into the future, Arsene Wenger has watched the young Polish midfielder for some time and pounced in the January window to bring him to North London.

Arsenal are reported to have paid around £2.5m plus future add-ons for a player who made only two starts for Legia Warsaw.

That pair of appearances  were while he was only 16 years of age and he turned 17 only last month, though the defensive midfielder stands 6ft 2

Arsene Wenger though has confirmed that his latest young protégé will face Newcastle Under 21s at St. James Park on Monday night, with Serge Gnabry also coming back from injury and playing.

Arsene Wenger;

“Serge will play on Monday night at Newcastle, with Bielik.

“He (Bielik) is coming along very well.”

The match is free for season ticket holders/members and £3 (£1 concessions) for anybody else.

The match could also see a decent turnout of Newcastle fans keen to see a likely appearance by Siem de Jong as he builds up his fitness, while Jonas Gutierrez is another who fans will hope to see appearing again at St. James’ Park.
