Moussa Sissoko has been in France after the Newcastle players were given time off thanks to the latest free FA Cup weekend.
The Newcastle midfielder went back to Toulouse and walked out to the centre circle to be presented to the crowd before Saturday’s Ligue 1 match against Rennes.
The Toulouse old boy was a good luck charm as his old side won 2-1 which lifted them two points clear of the relegation places.
Sissoko was interviewed afterwards and said he was back in Toulouse to ‘sort out a few things’ as well as give morale support to his old club.
The Newcastle player said he was looking forward to meeting up with former teammates again and he wishes Toulouse well in their relegation fight.
Opening the scoring was Oscar Trejo, the Toulouse midfielder scoring a goal (watch it below) which Moussa Sissoko agreed was very similar to his own against Manchester City in the League Cup earlier this season.
