Tuesday night saw Newcastle United’s reserves defeated by Morpeth Town of the Northern League.

The occasion was the semi-final of the Northumberland Cup at United’s home venue of Whitley Park.

Only one team turned up though as Morpeth easily saw off NUFC 3-1 and it could have been more.

It isn’t only on the pitch where Morpeth are on form, we bring you the video goals and highlights below, courtesy of the Northern League club’s Highwaymen TV.

The only Newcastle player to emerge with any credit was Olivier Kemen in midfield, keep an eye out for Jak Alnwick on the first two goals conceded and the defending by United’s number six on the third goal.

Nice finish though from Newcastle’s Tom Heardman for the consolation goal.

The video lasts over ten minutes and worth watching to get an idea of what Newcastle have in the younger ranks, though if you want to go to the key parts;

3.00 Newcastle equalise

5.25 Ball smashes into camera!
