Davide Santon and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa were top rated performers today in Serie A.
On loan at Inter, Santon made it two league wins out of two since he left Newcastle, as his team won 4-1 at Atalanta.
Closing to within six points of fourth place in the table, Davide Santon was rated top defender on the pitch as he plays himself back into form.
Whist over in the capital, AS Roma were held to a goalless draw by Parma but Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa was given man of the match as he continues his impressive form this season, which saw him brought back into the French national squad. Mapou and his teammates remain second in the table, five points clear of Napoli.
The Italian league may not have the appeal it once had but with no team strengthening, or indeed even replacements brought in, it is ironic that at the same time Mike Ashley has left Newcastle with only four fit defenders and that includes Mike Williamson.
