Fabricio Coloccini has claimed that ‘everyone is happy now’ following John Carver’s appointment as Head Coach until the end of the season…and possibly beyond.

The Newcastle United Captain has stated that the win at Hull came about due to the work on the training pitch with Carver.

Coloccini says that all of the players and the off the pitch staff have total confidence in Alan Pardew’s former assistant and they can push on together after last Saturday’s win.

Like all managers (Head Coaches…) John Carver will be judged on results, at least by the fans that is.

Fabricio Coloccini;

“We trust in the staff that we have now and we are with them, we’re going to all push together. Everyone is happy now.”

Top 10 is target;

“We’ve put down a target to finish top 10 and then we’re going to try to push to finish higher.

“When he (John Carver) took over, it wasn’t the best situation for us, we were losing, but now it’s different – we have got a result.”

Working hard during the week;

“We’re working very hard during the week, about the tactics and shape, and I think we showed this on the pitch in the second half against Hull. Taking advantage of the space they left when we counterattacked.

“We know him and the staff and we have confidence in them, it is important that the players have confidence and we are going to work together.”
