Steve Bruce declared that ‘It was an awful sight’ today and he wasn’t even looking in the mirror!

The useless former mackem manager presided over a desperate performance by his Hull players and pledged that it must never happen again…

His team lacking any signs of fight, looking as clueless as their manager.

After the final whistle Steve Bruce said;

“For thirty minutes there wasn’t much in it but after that it was a succession of errors.

“It was an awful sight when you are not getting enough (from the players) to go and rescue something. We need to make sure this never happens again.”

Avoiding embarrassing afternoons;

“We had umpteen chances at goal and we have to take one of them but then we concede a terrible goal.

“You then need fight and determination to avoid one of those embarrassing afternoons, which if we’re honest, is what it became.”

We could end up in trouble;

“We have to roll our sleeves up and show what we’re about – if we do that then we will be OK, if we don’t do that…then we will be in trouble.”
