Newcastle United interest in the African Cup of Nations kicks off today with Papiss Cisse and Senegal playing their first group match with Ghana.
The match kicks off at 4pm (UK time) this afternoon and you can watch the game live on British Eurosport.
Cisse has 16 goals for his country in 31 starts and Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah has talked about the Newcastle forward’s threat ahead of the game.
“The Senegalese team is not a one man team but they have quality players like Papiss Cisse who is doing well for his club.
“Cisse is doing very well and I personally respect him a lot because of what he’s done for his club and country.”
Ghana could be without their top striker as former Sunderland forward Asamoah Gyan is recovering from a mild bout of malaria.
Cisse’s club teammate Cheick Tiote kicks off his African Cup of Nations campaign tomorrow when Ivory Coast play Guinea, also at 4pm and televised live by British Eurosport, to see a full list of Cisse and Tiote’s matches go HERE.
If you have Virgin cable TV then British Eurosport is Channel 521 or 522 in HD, on SKY it is Channels 410 and 412.
