‘Friday talks went well’ between Remi Garde and Newcastle United – Reports
Without a manager for two weeks now, things could at last be moving on for Newcastle with a Friday meeting between Remi Garde and United officials being reported as an exclusive.
Garde is said to have met Managing Director Lee Charnley and Chief Scout Graham Carr in London, with the Newcastle pair then reporting back to Mike Ashley twenty four hours later, before Newcastle met Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Express says that people close to Remi Garde indicate the meeting went well and that the former Lyon boss is prepared to work within the proposed structure, where he would be Head Coach and leave the buying and selling of players to others.
It is also reported that Garde has been advised by former manager Arsene Wenger to take the job after contacting him for guidance.
The Express saying that further talks are planned between United officials and Remi Garde in the coming days.
