Exclusive list of everybody’s exclusive shortlists for next Newcastle manager

They just love it don’t they, the press are all over the intrigue of who will/won’t be the next Newcastle manager (or ‘head coach’) to give it the new official title.

It’s even better than who Newcastle United will or (mostly) won’t sign in a transfer window….one of which is actually happening right now by the way (Mike Ashley will be just loving the lack of focus on that).

Every day sees pretty much every newspaper come up with a different candidate, that on that particular day they have an exclusive angle on and/or inside info.

In fact they are all so sure of their information that the latest exclusive they each have is the secret shortlist from who Newcastle are going to choose their new manager.

So hang on, they go from naming one of the likely lads as definitely going to get it, to now naming anything up to seven that could get it, from the secret list/dossier that they’ve somehow got hold of.

Of course we all know the game, when the lucky person gets the job at NUFC, they are pretty much certain to have been mentioned at some time, especially if you are knocking out a list of seven possibles.

‘As we exclusively reported in our (not so) short list on ? January, ????? ????????? has now got the job at Newcastle United’.

Funnily enough you’d almost think that most of the newspapers had just gone to the betting on next Newcastle manager and picked six or seven of them out, making sure to pick one or two outsiders just to make it look a bit more ‘credible’.

Of course we all know that none of them have a clue because Mike Ashley is sitting back and just enjoying the circus, he’ll know who he is going to give it to but nobody else will, or if they do then the likes of Lee Charnley knows he has to keep his trap shut until the owner tells him otherwise.

So after careful consideration I can reveal that the next Newcastle manager (head Coach) will be Rafa Benitez, or John Carver, or Glenn Hoddle, or Paul Clement, or Ally McCoist, or Ant and Dec, or Tim Sherwood, or Jimmy Nail, or…
