The Reason Why Newcastle Aren’t Favourites Against West Brom

Just not good enough

We go into the weekend still four points shy of safety playing a West Brom Side 5 places above us and none of the bookies are giving us a snowball’s chance in hell of getting any kind of result…why is that?

Last year we went to West Brom and murdered them 3-1 with the bookies before the game backing a draw…this year we go to West Brom with a much stronger team and the odds are all stacked in favour of West Brom, mainly because Newcastle have only managed one away win all year – why is that?

Just look at our predicted team for West Brom…Elliot, Haidara, Mbiwa (int), Taylor (int), Debuchy (int), Cabaye (int), Sissoko (int), Guti (int), Gouffran, Ben Arfa (int), Cisse (int), with still some good players on the bench with international experience.

We play a West Brom team containing four players with international experience and we’re underdogs by a street mile, why is that?!

Last year the West Brom manager was Roy Hodgson and this year we face Stevie Clarke, so in my book West Brom were a tougher nut to crack last year, but again the bookies disagree – why is that?

Two weeks ago I asked everyone out there to hand on heart tell me how many points you think we’d get between the Sunderland game and the end of the season…the silence was deafening…why is that?

Since we were murdered 3-0 by the mackems the noise has been deafening and all that Pardew can muster in his and his team’s defence was to say, ‘We were tired after giving everything against Benfica and the criticism and outcry have been harsh to say the least’.

All together now…aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

The bookies don’t fancy us against any of our remaining opponents in the Premier League with the exception of getting a draw against the predictably relegated QPR – why is that?

We’ve not got past the first couple of rounds in any domestic cup competition (and that’s being generous!) in three years – why is that?

I’m just not sure where we’re going to get the points from to hit the magical 40 point mark, I predicted in January we’d get 39 points and now I’m not so sure. Surely that wasn’t a big ask with all those new players added to the squad but no, we’re struggling like hell – why is that?

I’ve been slating Pardew all year for his tactics and his poor management of the team, the squad is now much stronger than last year and we’re still in the relegation mire – why is that?

I’ve been slated by many lovestruck Pardew fans this year but not so much anymore, why is that, re you starting to see the light?

At the end of the day I’ll never stop supporting the toon but once thing’s for sure, I’m not alone anymore in supporters who have stopped supporting Pardew, he’s just not good enough to manage a team and squad as good as we’ve got right now and I can’t wait til next year when we install a manager who knows what he’s doing.

Pardew…JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
