It is not often we give 5under1and a mention but fair play to them for this signage near their ground.

This is definitely a case of a photo being worth a thousand words or more.

As the sign says ‘For Football Follow Newcastle’, I’ll drink to that.

No doubt somebody has either had a bit fun meddling with the photo, or somebody having an even bigger laugh in town planning at 5under1and council.

Ferguson, Taylor, Williamson, Dummet, Vuckic, Sissoko, Gouffran, Obertan, and Cisse all out. Assuming a 4-5-1 is used, a starting left back, centre back and winger all brought in. I'd like to see Robertson (Hull), Shawcross and Phillips (QPR) as well as a back up to Janmaat. Abeid, Tiote, Anita, Marveaux and Riviere all to be given their chance by new management. Coloccini offers a lot of experience to a young squad, I'd keep him. The first team then picks itself with enough competition (at least two players in every position and many players with the versatility to play in a couple of positions) and space for up-and-comers to be given some time on the pitch. Good, Mbabu, Satka, Bigirimana and Kemen all deserve their chance, if they're not loaned out like Armstrong and Woodman

@IainElrick Yeah man, it's a tough one to call. I'm not sure Dummet is worth keeping, he'll never be a first team player and he's getting in the way of players who need the time and could be in the first team one day. And I said Sissoko purely because he clearly wants out. Yeah, okay, he says he wants to stay, but his heart isn't in it at all, never has been. He thinks he deserves CL, but he's done nothing to warrant it. Talented as, yeah, but no heart. And you're right about Cisse, but now he's not going to be first choice striker, he won't get those ten goals. I'm gutted he never turned out how we all thought he would after he introduced himself like he did. Those two goals at Chelsea seem like they were yesterday!

Definitely need a quality CB to pair with Mbemba. Pointless signing quality players and then sticking them in a team with the likes of Williamson.

Coloccini, Aaron's and De Jong can not be relied upon until they have proved their fitness.

Could be a very good signing if he lives up to the expectations. Just hope he gets the required visa, Probably means Colo has started packing his bags ready for his reconciliation with the puppet. Now lets get another couple of defenders in.
