Suspicious Minds
Maybe the medical staff are more honest than the owners of our club, or possibly more afraid for their jobs, but I could not help being suspicious about the breakdown of the Maiga fella’s transfer from Sochaux.
Did the powers that be just not believe that, as opposed to last summer, a forward was simply not important any more, or at least not important compared to a defender!
Priorities all, though for our spendthrift leaders there was only ever going to be one signing, so they will keep their powder dry and sign a centre half.
After all we have plenty of forwards and Ba has certainly over delivered (along with Colo, my players of the season to date) and the fact the rest of the forwards are universally average does not matter, a striker is simply not a priority!
Quite what horrendous deeds will happen over the transfer window are yet to be seen but I would not be surprised if it is very little, the striker is on a back burner as is a left back.
While if Tiote goes we have Gosling, Abeid or Guthrie to partner Cabaye. It is hardly even a gamble with the points we have and lack of ambition the owners have.
Tiote to go in the transfer window and a central defender in on loan is my suspicious mind!
